Chris Brown Sentenced To Felony Probation For Five Years
Chris Brown has been placed on felony probation for 60 months by a judge in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Read more on Chris Brown’s sentencing and his other acts of violence against Rihanna previously unreported.
Chris Brown will be on probation for five years which entails not being permitted to possess a dangerous weapon and he must provide DNA samples to authorities upon request. Brown will also have to make personal court appearances once every three months during that time, beginning on Nov. 19.
Chris is also required to take part in a 52-week domestic violence program run by Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Richmond, Va.
Chris must also perform 180 hours of community labor, which the judge says he may complete in Virginia while he attends his year-long domestic violence program.
And Chris Brown will have to pay $2,500 in restitution.
Chris Brown was first arrested in Feb. 2008 for attacking his ex-girlfriend Rihanna after the pre-Grammy Awards party in Hollywood. Chris Brown pleaded guilty to the assault.
But new information has come out on Brown’s history of violent behavior.
Perez Hilton reported:
Brown’s February assault on Rihanna was not an isolated incident, as the domestic abuser was involved in (at least) two unreported acts of violence toward his ex-girlfriend.
According to a probation officer’s report, the first incident happened in Europe about three months prior to the February assault during a heated dispute between the pop stars. Rihanna slapped Chris and he responded by shoving her into a wall.
If that wasn’t enough, during a trip to Barbados in January, the two got in an argument in their rented Range Rover. Chris exited the vehicle and smashed both the driver’s and front passenger side windows. The pop stars were able to cover up that incident.
