HOLLYWOOD, CA  -  The 911 tape from the car crash involving singer Jewel has been released. (see video below)

Jewel was driving her Cadillac SRX in Texas last week when she was struck by a fire truck. She was pregnant at the time of the accident, but both Jewel and the baby are said to be doing good.

The 911 call was made by OnStar who told the 911 operator that Jewel was not responding to them in her vehicle, but the OnStar employee could hear moaning and movement inside of the vehicle. Listen to the 911 call in the video below.

LONG BEACH, CA  -  Rapper Nate Dogg, whose real name is Nathaniel Hale, died Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 in Long Beach.

The cause of death has not been immediately released when Nate Dogg's family announced the death of the well known rapper to the Long Beach Press Telegram, however Nate Dogg had suffered two recent strokes, one in 2007, which left him partially paralyzed, and another stroke in 2008.

Nate Dogg was a four-time Grammy nominee and a major participant in the West Coast G-Funk sound, contributing memorable and chart-topping hooks to hits spanning the past two decades, starting with his heavy featuring on Dr. Dre's The Chronic.

Rapper Snoop Dogg took to his twitter just hours following the death of Nate Dogg saying

"We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb," he tweeted last night. "One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met." Snoop Dogg later went on saying "I love you buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit. I miss u cuzz I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up with u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan... all doggs go to heaven yo homie n baby brotha bigg snoopdogg!! RIP NATE DOGG."

Funeral announcements and more information on the death of Nate Dogg (aka Nathaniel Hale) will follow later once more details become available to the media.

Justin Bieber may be adorable, but the actions of his fans can often be deplorable.

As has been well-documented, a set of crazed Beliebers have been threatening Selena Gomez ever since she started dating the singer. Now, Great Britain's Daily Mirror reports that a pair of obsessed followers actually broke into Justin's Liverpool hotel room last week.

"Two girls snuck in through a side entrance and stole housekeeping outfits," a source tells the newspaper. "After ditching their regular clothes and slipping into their new costumes they got the lift to Justin's suite and knocked on the door... Having been allowed in, the girls began half-heartedly polishing tables and dusting surfaces."

This all took place while Bieber was trapped in the hotel because the streets were filled with screaming fans.

Justin was not in the room as the girls giggled endlessly and were eventually discovered snapping photos of the artist's belongings. They were then "evicted from the premises," according to the report.

While Bieber has always been supportive and loyal to his fans, this incident left him understandably "furious," the insider says. He checked out that same day.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA  -  A former Social Distortion rock legend, Casey Royer, was arrested last week in his Orange County home after his 12-year-old son called for help after finding the ex-drummer overdosed on heroin.

Police said Casey Royer and his son were watching television when his son noticed Royer losing consciousness. The child ran next-door and notified the neighbors who called 911.

Police say that Royer's home was in complete filth and disaray with garbage and drug paraphernelia scattered everywhere, including needles with traces of heroin.

Once Casey Royer was treated and released from the hospital last week, police caught up with Royer Monday, March 14th, 2011 and arrested him on charges of child endangerment and being under the influence of heroin in possession of drug paraphernelia.

Casey Royer currently sings for a pop-rock band called D.I. who refused to issue a statement at the time this story was written. Police say that Royer is currently being held in jail on $120,000 cash bail. Details as to the current welfare of Casey Royer's son was not immediately available.

Now up for bids on the entertainment and paparazzi auction block is the Usher sex tape. Several entertainment outlets and celebrity news and gossip websites have been approached with the sex tape, offering small clips and image captures as proof of its existance, and sure enough, it is Usher in the video.

The person offering the video must not remember that just over one year ago Usher reported his car being broken into with over $1MIL worth of jewelry and electronics missing, including two laptops, one of which just may have had this sex tape on it. The new television commercials, created by DDB New York, began airing on April 5 as part of a marketing strategy that also includes print and Internet components.

The new commercials present a day-in-the-life montage of the vocalists' lives, scored with each artist's unique interpretation of the celebrated music and lyrics. Actress/singer Zooey Deschanel riffs contemporary with her take; five-time Grammy-nominated Jazmine Sullivan (21) lends her rhythm and blues style to the melody; Academy of Country Music's "Album of the Year" Winner and two-time Grammy nominee Miranda Lambert (24) delivers a country twist to the tune. The melody, recognizable to two generations of consumers, was retired in 2001 and was revived because "It's the right message at the right time," says Glenn Sciachitano, Director of Consumer Advertising at Cotton Incorporated.

"Since 2001, the company's advertising has stressed the fashionability, versatility and easy care benefits of cotton to the 18-34 female demographic ," says Sciachitano. "The new campaign retains that fresh, modern fashion focus, while paying tribute to the brand's rich heritage."

The new commercials illustrate the versatility of cotton by showing how it fits into the lives and wardrobe styles of three very different artists, whether they are walking the red carpet or simply engaging in their favorite everyday activities. The day-in-the-life montage of each performer is scored with a unique musical interpretation: Actress/ singer Zooey Deschanel (28) provides a retro pop sensibility with her take on the tune; two-time Grammy nominee Miranda Lambert (24) delivers a country twist; and five-time Grammy-nominated Jazmine Sullivan (21) lends her rhythm-and-blues style to the melody.

MOTOWN CELEBRATES THE 70th BIRTHDAY OF MARVIN GAYE, ONE OF THE MOST ACCLAIMED ARTISTS IN MUSIC HISTORY



Santa Monica, CA (March 30, 2009) /PRNewswire/—In the 50th anniversary year of Motown, April 2, 2009 will mark the 70th birthday of the late great Marvin Gaye. Sadly, April 1 will also mark the 25th anniversary of his tragic death the day before his 45th birthday. Motown's top solo male artist of the '60s, led by his "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"—at one time the biggest selling single in Motown history—Gaye became the label's most revolutionary artist in the '70s, breaking down barriers whether singing about the body or the soul, social consciousness or sexual politics. From his '60s classic "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)," to his legendary rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game, he defined the soul in "soul music."



Marvin Gaye's popularity and influence continues. His 1971 album What's Going On forever changed the subject matter of popular music; it's one of Rolling Stone magazine's top 10 albums of all time. In 1973, Let's Get It On became perhaps the most passionate and sexual album ever recorded, led by its title track, which remains one of the most popular songs of all time, a certified Gold single back in the day, and in the digital music era it's a Gold digital download and a Platinum-selling ringtone as well. In 1987, three years after his death, Gaye was rightfully among only the second group of artists honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. More recently, Marvin Gaye was No. 6 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Singers Of All Time.

Noting the milestones of his birth and passing, Motown/UMe will issue a special digital-only album on March 31, Marvin Gaye: Then & Now, a 14-track set of rarities highlighted by the previously unreleased "Soulie" (pronounced "sue-lee"), a 1966 recording recently unearthed by Motown's New York-based producer Mickey Gentile, and a hot funk 2009 remix of "I Want You," Marvin's No. 1 hit from 1976, by the renowned John Morales of M+M Productions. Other tracks making their online debut are: the deep vault track "It's Your Party," and his two super-rare late '50s Chess recordings with Harvey & The Moonglows ("Mama Loocie," "Twelve Months Of The Year"). Rounding out this special collection are Marvin's earliest, pre-hit Motown singles ("Witchcraft," "Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide" and more).

Motown/UMe is also issuing a vinyl-only edition of United (Motown/UMe), Gaye's classic duet album with Tammi Terrell, on April 14. The standard by which all R&B male-female duos are measured, Gaye and Terrell first teamed on the 1967 album that included "If I Could Build My World Around You," "Your Precious Love" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

In addition, the ongoing, acclaimed "Motown 50" podcast series will feature special episodes on Marvin Gaye's life and music; Gaye is also well represented on the deluxe 10-CD box set Motown: The Complete No. 1's, which kicked off the year long celebration for Motown's 50th anniversary. Both The Real Thing, a DVD collection of his greatest television and concert appearances, and Gold, a 2-CD overview of his career, have recently been certified Gold. Gaye will also figure prominently in a two-hour documentary about Motown produced by the label's founder, Berry Gordy.
