Tough skin comes with the territory of reality TV, and no one knows this better than the Kardashian sisters, who take the media's pokes, prods and parodies in stride each week.
Not that this means they don't notice, however.
"I'm the ugly sister," Khloe, the youngest of the three, said in LOVE Magazine's most recent issue. "I'm the fat one. I'm the transvestite. I have had those mean things said about me at least twice a day for the last five years.
"It's horrible, you know? But I can brush that stuff off."
The media maven, 26, who poses with sister Kourtney in a steamy photo shoot shot by renowned French photographer Patrick Demarchelier, tells fans the taunts, though hurtful, aren't anything new. She's been dealing with weight watching all her life.
"One of the biggest struggles of my life is my weight," she said in a video posted to her blog in January. "My weight is always going up and down, and I'm always fighting that, and I think that no matter what I do, I'm never going to look good enough to everybody else.
"Now I just have my body how I like it but as much as I say that, still, other people's words come and hit you hard," she continued in the video post. "That's been a struggle that I think I've gotten a hold of, not caring about what other people think. It's not the biggest thing in life, but, you know, it does get you down sometimes."
Earlier this year, Khloe, who is married to Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom, fought off rumors that she was pregnant.
"It's like if you eat a lot that day," Kourtney said, "and sit down and have a tiny fat roll - it's so funny."
Not that she'll have much down-time to mope. Khloe, who landed a new E! reality series with husband Lamar Odom earlier this year, also launched a unisex fragrance "Unbreakable" with her husband, all this in addition to the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" series that put her and her family on the media map in the first place.
The reality star's latest project?
A stint with T-Mobile in honor of Valentine's Day in which the starlet gets a text - and new phone - from who else? Hubby Lamar.
