John Terry was publicly humiliated yesterday when Wayne Bridge carried out his promise to snub the disgraced former England captain.

Bridge, enraged by Terry's affair with his ex-girlfriend, refused to shake his hand as Chelsea lined up against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

The dramatic moment was caught live on TV cameras and broadcast to millions of viewers around the globe.

Bridge looked straight at his opponent and for a moment it appeared as if he would actually shake Terry's hand. But in an instant Bridge swept his arm away continuing to stare Terry in the eye as he delivered his very public snub.

Tevez: 'Cheat' John Terry would be dead!

CARLOS TEVEZ last night launched an shocking attack on John Terry and warned: "If you acted like this in Argentina you'd be dead."

Tevez reckons if someone in his homeland had an affair with a team-mate's girlfriend, like Terry did with Wayne Bridge, they "would not survive".

Tevez said, "It's wrong. In my opinion, Terry has no moral code for what he did to Bridge. In my neighbourhood if you do that, you lose your legs, or more - you don't survive." That's a good one from Tevez and I also don't think that any player can actually do that with the wife of another player. That's totally wrong.

The Manchester City ace clashed with Terry last weekend during his side's 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge as tempers started to boil over.

Tevez also blasted Chelsea's Michael Ballack and insisted that he could not stand the German midfielder.

He added: "I have always had problems with Ballack but, you know, it is just football, not personal issues between us. On the field, I have never understood what he is saying to me but I am sure he didn't understand me either."

Man United signed 18-year-old defender Marnick Vermijl

Reports in Belgium have confirmed Manchester United have signed 18-year-old defender Marnick Vermijl from Standard Liege.

Vermijl is a versatile defender who can play all across the backline but is predominantly a right back.

He is expected to join up with Manchester United in time for the start of the 2010/11 season and will join Sir Alex Ferguson’s first team squad.

I have never heard of Marnick Vermijl and I’m not sure whether United have really signed him. Its surprising to see Vermijl arrive from Standard Liege since I was expecting to see Steven Defour arrive at Old Trafford from the same club.
